The Nigerian Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (NISPID)
The Nigerian Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (NISPID) is a professional body dedicated to advancing the science, practice, and training of paediatric infectious diseases in Nigeria. It is formally affiliated with the Paediatric Association of Nigeria (PAN), the African Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (AfSPID), and the World Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (WSPID), ensuring strong linkages with regional and global networks. NISPID brings together over 200 members, including paediatric infectious disease subspecialists, general paediatricians, physicians, allied health professionals, and other experts engaged in clinical care, research, teaching, or health administration in infectious diseases and related disciplines. Members hold leadership roles in tertiary hospitals, health institutions across different levels of care, research centres, government agencies, and the pharmaceutical and allied industries in Nigeria and internationally.

Represents Nigeria within WSPID, serving as the national chapter and contributing to international initiatives.
Provides technical support to government and policymakers, informing evidence-based policies and strategies on paediatric infectious disease prevention and management.
